Michelle Cloud-Hughes Talk

Tuesday, September 28, 2021
7:00 pm9:00 pm
Denver Botanic Gardens - Gates Hall

We have been lucky to be able to engage Michelle Cloud-Hughes to give a talk to us about new species of cacti she’s discovered and named in the Southwest. Michelle is the leading authority on Chollas (the genus Cylindropuntia) which she’s studied across their range in the United States and Mexico. She lives in San Diego, but will be visiting Denver a

The talk will be this Tuesday, at 7pm, in Gates Hall, which is immediately to the left of the stairway leading from the main Education building on the way to the new Freyer-Newman Center (i.e. the room where we USED to meet): since our winter hours are starting Monday (i.e. visitor center not open after 5:00pm) people will have to enter and leave through the Pinon gate, which is to the RIGHT of the Visitor Center.
It’s not often we can meet a world expert on an important group of our native succulents: do please come!

You can find further description of her and the talk she’ll be giving here - - http://www.csssn.org/journal/tag/michelle-cloud-hughes
