Scott Burkholder
My wife, Judith, and I joined CCSS in 1991 when we set out to collect a Christmas cactus in every color. While the Christmas cacti have come and gone, we’ve remained active members ever since.
As our son Jackson became more interested in cacti and botany in general, we increased our participation in the club. I have served as Show and Sale Chairman for the past several years and also completed a term as club President.
In addition to my interest in Pachycauls and Mesembs, I enjoy all the plants that pass through the club’s doors. Outside of CCSS, I work as a Chief Geophysicist for a company that builds seismographs and other seismic and geophysical electronics.
