Adrian Saunders
My interest in cacti dates back to my college days, when a friend gave me a cutting of his Hylocereus. It grew and flowered prolifically, and I was hooked. I didn’t become seriously involved until after my retirement from the insurance industry and my move from the UK to Seattle in 2005, where I joined the Cascade Cactus & Succulent Society and later became its Treasurer.
I moved to Denver in 2017 and joined CCSS, and shortly afterward became Treasurer here as well. My particular interests are flowering cacti and growing plants from seed. My collection has grown steadily to the point where there is no more space in my small backyard greenhouse. I remain, however, an enthusiastic amateur and do not claim by any means to be an expert.
